Double Zero Mobile reflects the daily flux of high-velocity transactions beyond our control. A cluster of spinning abstracted roulette wheels function like an interactive audiovisual mobile, a term coined by Marcel Duchamp to describe Alexander Calder’s kinetic sculpture.
The title also references [00], a pocket found exclusively on American roulette wheels. [00] grants the casino house a greater advantage than non-American roulette wheels. Roulette is a game of pure chance and it involves no skill unless the house is cheating.
