A work of machinima created as part of The Exquisite Moving Corpse, a collaborative video project initiated by Chip Lord (Ant Farm), Jack Massing and Sean Miller. The organizers invited each artist to produce a 1-minute video in response to the final frame of the video that preceded it.

The title Aftermath (after Ali and Aoife and Birnbaum) references the artists Ali and Aoife, who created the preceding 1-minute video. It also pays homage to media artist Dara Birnbaum's influential video artwork Technology/Transformation: Wonder Woman(1978). Participating artists in the Exquisite Moving Corpse:
