Values Exchange Trading Floor is a free alternate reality simulation prompting reflection and playful dialogue on the subjectivities, logic and absurdities of value, commodification, and transactional cultures. In a musical, open-ended, game-like scenario that’s open to the public, Brokers show participants how to assign “exchange units” to what they value using Values Notes. Participants “play” these “notes” by ringing bells and bargaining for values on an open market floor, accumulating and distributing currency. At times, participants must respond to interventions by Brokers and other external forces.
